Lauri & Jordan were married last May in St. Augustine. Since then, they’ve been working on their adorable house in Jacksonville, FL. Lauri & Jordan decided they’d like some family photos to document their first home together as well as a few good ones to send out to family for Christmas this year. While hanging out at the house, we were lucky enough to catch the ice cream man!! And how great were these locations chosen by Lauri. What a creative girl.
When Danica & Andrew contacted us about their wedding photography, David and I were so excited! Andrew was a fellow music team leader at our old church Gator Christian Life and I just knew that any Gordon wedding was sure to be a blast. Danica and Andrew got married at Creekside Community Church in Gainesville, Andrew’s home town and where they went to college and church together. Andrew is one of eleven children, and all of his siblings were in some way involved in the ceremony and reception festivities. Just look for the blonde kids- you can’t miss them!
For their ceremony music, I heard a lot of my favorite worship songs and they used some unique choices for the processional and recessional. Matt Gordon, Andrew’s dad and the pastor at GCL performed the ceremony. A big high five came his way after the ceremony for once again making it super special and funny (see the scratch and sniff magical phone below) and for keeping it together marrying off his first child.
The wedding party was full of goofballs and divas (mostly the guys) and we had an excellent time making some fashionable portraits with them. And have you ever seen a cuter lineup of junior attendants?
Ah, the reception. This might have been one of the most memorable events we’ve ever shot. Not only was there fabulous food (including homemade Gordon bread) and gorgeous decor, there was a surprise serenade from Andrew to Danica – an altered version of “Collide” tailored to the two of them, an energetic first dance, and a special presentation of interpretive dance from all the brothers welcoming Danica to the Gordon family.
All in all, it was a wildly entertaining, love-filled, and heartfelt family affair. Thanks for allowing us to document your wedding day.
Debbi is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who is going into private practice in Gainesville, FL. We worked together at Meridian for some time. I will very much miss her now that I will no longer be in Gainesville. I think Debbi is a great counselor and a truly caring person. It was an honor taking these professional headshots for her.
It was awesome seeing my friend Sarah this weekend while she was down visiting from Colorado to help her sister with wedding planning. I decided to snap a few cute shots of the two of them. Aren’t they adorable? I think we need more family photos like this – just hanging out, loving on each other.
Tori, a native of the Treasure Coast in FL just couldn’t pass up senior portraits on the beach and her hometown. Together we went to the rainy beach, the rusty railroad tracks, and Orange Avenue in Fort Pierce. Tori goes to school in Tennessee and was able to get these shots done before she left her summer vacation.
